For our trans families and their loved ones, there are safe places you can come together to celebrate this holiday. If you’re looking for plans, we recommend checking out these events:
Metro Trans Umbrella Group, in St. Louis, is joining forces with Pinwheels, Transparent St. Louis, and PROMO to provide a Thanksgiving lunch beginning at 10 a.m. with coffee and refreshments alongside games, an open mic, and, of course, a Thanksgiving lunch at noon.
Those interested in attending, volunteering, or bringing a dish to the event can find more information at transgivingstl.com.
Pride St. Louis, in partnership with Vivent Health, Metro East Pride, Black Pride St. Louis, Tower Grove Pride, PROMO, The Shades Project, Transparent St. Louis, and St. John’s Episcopal Church, is offering three ways for you to celebrate. Those interested in enjoying a Thanksgiving meal can either dine in at St. John’s Episcopal Church or have the order delivered or ready for pick-up.
It is recommended to pre-order a plate by 5 p.m. on Monday, November 21, so head over to Pride STL’s website for more information on placing an order or how to donate at pridestl.org.
