Hearings: Defend Trans and Drag Rights

The Senate is set to hear multiple bills this week during public hearings. Bills range from removing the sunsets on existing trans healthcare and athlete bans, a bathroom ban, and drag bans.

For most of these hearings, we anticipate little time to testify as Senate hearings usually only last two hours and some have 3-5 more bills to be heard. This means testimony time may be short, but if you are adamant in testifying you can sign up here.

Share Testimony on Trans Healthcare

HB 2033 attempts to remove the sunset on the existing healthcare ban for trans young people. We spent hours in the House telling representatives our stories earlier this month.

While the Senate doesn’t accept written testimony like House hearings, we encourage you to use our form to share your testimony with committee members about healthcare for trans young people.

Share Testimony on Drag Performances

SB 1164 and SB 1476 target drag performances and specifically the performer. If you are a business owner, actor, or drag performer, we encourage you to share your story and testimony with the Senate committee members using our form.

Donate & Support Testifiers

Our community shows up in mass numbers at every hearing because we support each other. A donation today allows us to continue organizing and mobilizing our community to defeat anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.
